Sant Joan de Déu de Manresa Hospital currently englobes an area of 60.000 m2 (40.000 corresponding to the new building and 20.000 to the old one) plus 18.000 m2 of parking space. With the new building, the hospital now offers 402 beds, 17 surgical theatres, 4 delivery rooms, 69 consulting rooms, 54 emergency room boxes, and 16 emergency room observation boxes.
The construction of the new building was developed in two phases: the first one lasted from 2008 to 2010 and was dedicated to the emergency room and outpatient department, while the second one, from 2011 to 2014, focused on inpatient wards, on-call rooms, admissions, hospital teaching service, locker rooms, and the auditorium. BIOREM led the equipment planning project, including the development of the room by room equipment plan, the equipment servitude project for construction and facilities, the definition of Terms of Reference for equipment acquisition, the assessment of technical offers, and the inventory of new and old equipment.
